Developing Story: Returning 197-pound NCAA champ A.J. Ferrari in auto accident Monday evening

Image and official release courtesy of Oklahoma State Athletics.  Monday night, wrestling Twitter was buzzing with with concern over news that Oklahoma State wrestler, defending NCAA champion AJ Ferrari, and fellow Oklahoma State runner Isai Rodriguez, were involved in an auto accident Monday evening at roughly 8 p.m. central time. The pair were returning to Stillwater after attending a youth wrestling clinic in nearby Cushing. https://twitter.com/dekotagregory/status/1485810794247901184 While much is still unknown about the accident, here is what we know at this stage. Below is the official release from the Oklahoma University Athletics.  STILLWATER – Oklahoma State wrestler AJ Ferrari and runner Isai Rodriguez were involved in an auto accident at approximately 8 p.m. tonight as they were returning to Stillwater following an appearance at a youth wrestling practice in nearby Cushing. Ferrari was transported via helicopter to an Oklahoma City hospital, where he is responsive. Ferrari's injuries are not life-threatening. Rodriguez is also being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening. According to law enforcement officials, there were no fatalities or serious injuries to anyone else involved in the accident.
