Gavin Teasdale’s much-anticipated MMA debut is almost here. He will step in the cage on February 5th at 247 Fighting Championships' Brawl in the Burgh 10.

After taking the state title four times out of Jefferson-Morgan High School in Jefferson, Pennsylvania,  and posting a 162-2 record overall, Teasdale wrestled at Pennsylvania State University and the University of Iowa, two of the most prestigious Division-1 programs in the nation.

Now, he turns his focus to MMA, and he’ll make his debut at Brawl in the Burgh 10 against Central PA MMA’s Tyler Fry, an 0-1 fighter with a background in both Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai.

“Anybody who follows the sport of MMA knows how devastating a strong wrestling base can be inside the cage,” 247 Fighting Championships General Manager Hunter Homistek said. “And anybody who follows the sport of wrestling knows how tough the competition is in the state of Pennsylvania. What Gavin did is practically unheard of, and we are proud to host his debut against a super tough opponent in Tyler Fry at Brawl in the Burgh 10.
