In an era where kids are committing to colleges as early as their freshman and sophomore year in high school (if not even before that), it has become common to see an athlete open and close their recruitment multiple times while still in high school.  However, what isn’t as commonplace is an athlete committing, de-committing, and then re-committing a second time to the same institution. Well, we just saw that exact scenario unfold in Oklahoma earlier this week as TOM’s No.2 152-pounder Jordan Williams, a senior out of Oklahoma, pledged to John Smith and the Oklahoma State Cowboys for the second time The decision came earlier this week via Williams' Instagram.  https://www.instagram.com/p/CVL8aqxL_H4/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=a0bd1e91-4e90-47fd-91ac-bb1ad9b896e0 Williams first committed to Oklahoma State in November 2020. Two months later, in January of this year, Williams decided to reconsider his options and even if wrestling was something he wished to pursue. Well, the Owasso senior, a a back-to-back Cadet Fargo champ and a 2019 Super 32 winner, is rejuvenated in both wrestling and his commitment to the Cowboys. Williams is the latest in a string of significant victories on the recruiting trail for the Big 12 powerhouse. Two-time state champion Zach Blankenship out of Bixby and Stillwater’s Angelo Ferrari, TOM’s No.3-rated prospect at 152, will all be heading to Okie State this summer after their prep careers conclude.  These three from the Class of 2022, plus Northwestern transfer Carter Young and current freshman Victor Voinovich will add some much-needed depth in the 141, 149, and 157-pound classes for John Smith and Co.  Watch Caleb Henson and Jordan William battle it out at the 2021 FloWrestling Who's #1 tournament earlier this year in Dallas, Texas.
