Last Chance World Team Trials Set to Run Simultaneously with Junior and 16U Nationals in Fargo July 16

The 2021 Last Chance World Team Trials Qualifier is set for July 16, 2021, at the FargoDome in Fargo, N.D. The event will precede the 2021 Junior and 16U National Championships. Fans can watch all the action live on FloWrestling.

According to the USA Wrestling Team Selection Criteria, the champion from each weight class at the Last Chance Qualifier will earn a bid to the 2021 Senior World Team Trials, which are expected to take place in September. Date and location are still being finalized. The weight classes to be contested at the World Team Trials will be determined based on the Tokyo Games results as well as Olympic medalists' commitments.

The 2021 Senior Worlds will feature all 30 weight classes (10 per style) Oct. 2-10 in Oslo, Norway.

The Last Chance World Team Trials Qualifier will be conducted following the requirements of the state and local health authorities, as well as using the safety provisions of the USA Wrestling Return to Events Guidelines. USA Wrestling and the local organizers will monitor data and local trends closely leading up to the event.

Registration
Registration for the event is open now. Early registration closes July 11 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Up until that point, registration is $80 per style. The entry goes up on July 12 to $110 per style and is open until July 15 at noon CT.

Coaches bands
All coaches that wish to purchase a coach’s band to gain access to the competition floor to coach athletes must have a USA Wrestling Leader Membership Card and Bronze Certification. Bands can be purchased now for $20 or on-site.
