Sometimes the best way to achieve something is by using a process known as reverse engineering. Essentially you start at the end and work backward rather than stating at the beginning and working forward. It would appear that two-time Olympian Ben Provisor will be using some reverse engineering of his own regarding his college wrestling career.

Provisor is headed to Des Moines, Iowa, to join NAIA powerhouse, Grand View. Provisor will have four years of eligibility to compete at the NAIA level. Following his high school tenure (which was the last time the soon-to-be 31-year-old Provisor competed in folkstyle), he was never a full-time student at a school that offered folkstyle wrestling, so his NAIA eligibility clock never began.

Last year, Life University brought an end to Grand View's NAIA championship winning-streak. Grand View has won the last nine in a row before last year. Still, Provisor will be adding significant depth, experience, and coaching expertise to an already loaded lineup. In addition to Provisor, the Vikings will return seven All-Americans, none of whom finished lower than sixth last season: Tanner Abbas (6th), Giovanni Bonilla (2nd), Greg Hagan (2nd), Ben Lee (3rd), Marty Margolis (3rd), Casey Randles (3rd), and Carson Taylor (4th).

"They [Grand View] have me on here as a Greco coach, and obviously I'm going to continue that, [coaching] that's where my career is," Provisor told the Des Moines Register's Cody Goodwin this weekend at Senior Nationals in Coralville. "I'm lucky enough that I'll be able to get my education and then be able to affect coaching others with my education."

Goodwin caught up with Provisor this weekend at Xtreme Arena in Coralville, Iowa, after the future Grand View Viking took home his fourth Greco Senior National U.S. Open title. Click the article to listen to that full interview.
