More Studs in the Transfer Portal Pick Destinations for 2022

Kent State's three-time NCAA qualifier Andrew McNally has found a new home for the 2021-22 wrestling season after nearly a month in the transfer portal. The former Golden Flashes' middleweight will be a graduate transfer for Chris Bono and the Wisconsin Badgers. At the 2021 NCAA Championships, the Ohio native made the quarterfinals before falling to eventual NCAA champion Carter Starocci and Jackson Turley in the bloodround. https://twitter.com/ncaawrestling/status/1372622380778942466 Including his redshirt year, McNally is 118-41 in his college career and has some signature wins over Cam Caffey, Daniel Bullard, and Peyton Mocco, to name a few. McNally's arrival adds some depth to the Badgers' crop of upperweights as one of the most heralded recruits in the Class of 2020, Braxton Amos, will be scrapping in Madison next season. Gary Traub, affectionately known as Gas Tank Gary, was also looking for a new stomping ground next year. Traub placed himself in the transfer portal back on March 22. The former walk-on turned college wrestling fan favorite has linked himself with Chris Pendleton and the Oregon State Beavers for the remainder of his college career. The former Buckeye big man took Division I by storm during the 2019-20 season with his motor and overall effort. He notched impressive wins over Lewis Fernandes, Luke Luffman, Seth Nevills, and Thomas Penola. https://twitter.com/ncaawrestling/status/1228869864615534592 However, in the offseason, Ohio State added transfer Tate Orndorff from Utah Valley. He would win the starting spot and become an All-American in St. Louis. Orndorff's presence likely sent Traub to Corvallis. I'm sure the Beaver fans will enjoy watching Traub, just as we all have over the last few years.
