Nathan Tomasello and Jack Mueller are on the move.
Over the last 24 hours, both Tomasello and Mueller have announced the next steps in their respective careers: Three-time All-American and 2019 125-pound NCAA finalist Jack Mueller is heading back to his alma mater as a volunteer assistant coach. It is unknow if he plans to continue competing internationally or just coach for the Cavaliers.

Additionally, former Buckeye four-time All-American and 2015 national champ NATO, is heading to Norman, Oklahoma to reunite with former OSU assistant coach Lou Rosselli. Tomasello spent the 2021 season as an assistant coach with the Duke Blue Devils, working under head coach Glen Lanham.

There was speculation as to whether Tomasello would continue competing after the 2021 Trials or focus all his efforts toward coaching. By storming to a third-place finish and a berth on the World Team, he answered those questions.
Tomasello is healthy, and there is undoubtedly still is some gas left in the tank. And, his passion for the sport and what it has done for him is evident.
"Never give up. Ya, I lost a heart breaker in the quarters to Vito Arujau by 1 point and couldn’t make the Olympic team trial finals after that. But, a warrior never quits, even after not achieving the ultimate dream. It takes a gut check to come back and finish a tournament, and win the next best thing, and I’ve had to do that a lot in my career, with the NCAA championships in college and World/Olympic team trials the past 5 years. I couldn’t train as much as I wanted to this Olympic year because of injuries and surgeries, which have plagued me the previous 5 years as well. But, I needed to push through and make no excuses," Tomasello said via Instagram post following the 2021 Trials.
