This evening The Open Mat has verified with multiple sources that Teague Moore is no longer the head coach at American University. The team was informed of this decision earlier Thursday. Moore was at the helm for nine-plus seasons with the Eagles. Under his direction, five American wrestlers earned All-American honors and 32 qualified for the NCAA Championships. Two won EIWA championships. After the 2019-20 season, American finished second in the country among DI teams with a 3.55 grade point average. We will monitor this situation as more information becomes available. At this time Moore was not available for comment.
